Can I use Powershare Mobile Connector to Charge my Cybertruck?
Yes. Powershare Mobile Connector can charge your Cybertruck from either a 120V or 240V outlet.
What energy system configurations and software versions are required for Powershare Home Backup?
Powershare Home Backup functionality is available for system configurations that do not have a backed up solar system, Backup Switch or Powerwall setup. To use Powershare Home Backup, you need:
Cybertruck with software version 2024.14.3 or later
Wall Connector with software version 24.12.51 or later
Powershare Gateway with software version 23.44.906 or later
Tesla app version 4.32.6 or later
Powershare Home Backup functionality is expected to be available for additional energy system configurations later this year through an over-the-air update.
What are the eligibility requirements for Powershare Home Backup?
To be eligible for Powershare Home Backup, you must:

- Take delivery of a Foundation Series vehicle
- Own a single-family home or townhome compatible with Powershare Home Backup in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico)
- Park on your property within 20 feet of your home or garage
- Have an electric service (main) panel rating less than 225A
- Have a Tesla Certified Installer in your area
- Agree to the quote for installation provided by the Certified Installer
What if I am not eligible for Powershare Home Backup?
If you take delivery of a Foundation Series vehicle, but your home or living situation does not qualify for Powershare Home Backup or you decide you do not want Home Backup, you will be able to use the provided Tesla Shop voucher for a single purchase in the Tesla Shop.
If you are ineligible for Home Backup or decide to use the voucher for an alternative purchase, you will not receive a Universal Wall Connector as part of your vehicle purchase.
Does Powershare Home Backup require internet?
Powershare Home Backup can operate safely without an internet connection. The Cybertruck, Wall Connector and Powershare Gateway should be connected to the internet to receive updates to improve the system capabilities and performance, and to provide telemetry for monitoring and troubleshooting. If your Powershare System is not connected to the Internet for an extended period and Tesla is unable to provide important remote firmware upgrades, we may not be able to honor your full applicable Powershare Home Backup Limited Warranty.
Can I use Powershare Home Backup daily?
Powershare Home Backup is not intended for daily use. Other Powershare features such as powering electical devices or charging other electric vehicles can be used daily if needed.
Can I install Powershare Home Backup if I have an existing gas generator or a battery system not produced by Tesla?
Yes, it may be possible depending on your needs. Consult with your Certified Installer about installing Powershare Home Backup system as a cascading or independent system.

Electric Vehicles
With Powershare, you can power electronic devices or tools using power outlets built in to your Cybertruck. Cybertruck has two 120V outlets (up to 20A) in the cabin plus two 120V outlets (up to 20A) and one 240V outlet (up to 40A) in the cargo bed. All outlets together can supply up to 9.6kW.
Charge Other EVs
Powershare allows you to charge other electric vehicles with up to 9.6 kW of power by plugging into the 240V cargo bed outlet on your Cybertruck.
Home Backup
With Powershare, your Cybertruck can automatically provide backup power to your home with up to 11.5 kW of power for up to three days.1 Powershare Home Backup can detect an outage and start providing power within one minute without noise, emissions or maintenance.
One App
Use the Tesla app to learn about your Powershare Home Backup system and walk through the required hardware. To enable Powershare, open your vehicle control settings in the Tesla app.
For Customers without Powerwall
For homes not equipped with Powerwall, a Universal Wall Connector and Powershare Gateway will be required to use Powershare Home Backup.2
Even after Powershare Gateway is installed, adding Powerwall upgrades you to an instant, seamless backup solution that can maximize the value of your energy system and ensure your home is prepared for severe weather events. Solar Roof and solar panels add the ability to generate your own electricity and further increase your independence from the grid and utility costs.
For Customers with Powerwall
If your home is equipped with Powerwall and home charging, you do not require any additional equipment. Powershare Home Backup functionality with Powerwall is expected to be available later this year through an over-the-air update. All AC Powerwall variants will be compatible with Powershare Home Backup in the future.
